In my training as a physicist, I studied how microscopic interactions between atoms can create large-scale emergent behaviors, like phase transitions into novel states of quantum matter.
Now I am interested in how microscopic interactions in living systems can affect large-scale biological outcomes. In the Lahav lab, I want to understand how the spatial and temporal organization of DNA damage repair proteins impact a cell’s ability to repair and, eventually, its decision to live or die.
Outside of lab, I enjoy cooking, being outside, and spending time with my family.
